Paul Gau is a graduate of Carnegie Vanguard High School. He first began his work at Carnegie Theatre by acting in the ensemble cast of Native Son his freshman year. Gau served as Assistant Stage Manager for Cyrano De Bergerac, and later on served as Stage Manager for Puffs and Lord of the Flies. Gau has also participated as an alternate in 3 UIL-OAP productions those being Charlie Sonata, The Duchess of Malfi, and Crime & Punishment. On top of this, Gau also worked as part of the set crew for A Streetcar Named Desire, and Misery, along with working in the lighting department on the side on various productions.
Gau has also served on the company’s ITS Board, serving as Treasurer for the 2025-2026 season.
